Where to Find Hotels That Work With Creators
I’ve traveled around the world, staying in hotels for free, and these are my favorite ways to find hotels that work with creators.
Search Instagram Hashtags
Start with hashtags like #hotelcollaboration, #sponsored, or #ad combined with your destination. Look at who's posting sponsored content with hotels and check which properties they're tagging. Hotels that already work with creators are more likely to say yes to you.
Check Hotel Websites for Press/Media Pages
Find hotels using Booking.com or Hotels.com and go to their websites. Many hotels list their PR contact or media inquiry email right on their website. Look in the footer for "Press," "Media," or "Partnerships." This is often the fastest way to find the right contact without cold DMing.
Follow Boutique Hotels
Smaller boutique hotel groups and independent properties are often more open to creator partnerships than large chains.
Look for Hotels with Active Social Media
If a hotel is regularly posting on Instagram, responding to comments, and sharing user-generated content, they understand the value of social media. These properties are much more likely to be open to creator collaborations.
Use Google Search
Search “[destination] all opinions are my own]”. This will help you find blog posts from creators who had sponsored hotel stays in that area. These properties are more likely to be open to a collab request!
Use Communities and Platforms
There are so many places that share hotel partnership opportunities! Some of my favorite platforms you can use are Bento (pitching platform - use code TAYLOR for 10% off), and CollabAway (both affiliate links, but I personally pay for my own accounts).
